Made from recycled guitar strings, these make perfect gifts for musicians or music fans. These strings have been used by musicians in the Oxfordshire area and many of the strings have been used during gigs. Because they are recycled, many of the strings have fret marks on them, which adds to the character of each piece. It’s great to be able to upcycle something into a unique piece of jewellery rather than adding the strings to landfill. The plectrums are punched from plastic cards made from leftover materials from the petro-chemical industry. These necklaces are great gift for music fans and musicians, and are a great alternative to the guitar string bangles if you are unsure of the wrist size.
The strings were sterilized first, then the pendant was made from a silver coloured guitar string and is finished with silver beads and white guitar plectrum. The ends are wire wrapped and soldered. The bracelet is made with a white guitar plectrum and 2mm black cord. It has sliding knots and is full adjustable up to 22cm circumference.
The pendant diameter is 4.5cm and is hanging on a 2mm black cord, which is 42cm – 47cm long including the extension chain. It has a lobster claw fastening.
Guitar strings often contain nickel so these items are not suitable for people with a nickel allergy. Comes in an organza gift bag.
